IN PERSON

As of this update, it's the middle of January, 2012, and Daydreamer is in a slip at Marina Singlar, in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico, roughly half-way down the Sea of Cortez on the Mexican mainland and about 400 miles south of Nogales, Arizona (near 28N 111W).

We're getting ready to head south, either along the mainland or, perhaps, once again across the Sea of Cortez to Baja and then on toward La Paz.

And while our near term plans and route are still undefined, we do have a couple of specific points that we can identify during this winter's cruise: a stay in marina de La Paz from mid March to mid April (in La Paz, of course) and a haul out for the summer scheduled for May 21 at San Carlos, just north of Guaymas.  Either of these locations would be a good choice to come down and have an in-depth look at Daydreamer

Indeed, there will other opportunities as our winter cruise progresses so if you're interested, try giving us a call or, better yet, drop us an email and we'll see if we an arrange a rendezvous a convenient location.

TELEPHONE

We can be contacted by telephone at the following numbers:

Cell Phone:  (928) 848-9705

(Please note that we haven't been able to figure out how to reliably access our voicemail when we're in Mexico so if you leave voicemail for us on the cell phone and don't hear back, that may be why.  And if that's the case, you might call again or send us a text or fall back onto email.)

We do have a Skype account for VOIP (i.e. internet telephone), so if you also have Skype on your computer, you can try to call us at our Skype name:

svdaydreamer  (of course, this'll only work when we're in a marina w/ WiFi or at home connected to the internet)

EMAIL

Email is a good option, which we actually prefer, and we can give you a couple of choices.

Standard Email:  Our regular email account address is:

svdaydreamer("at" sign)gmail(dot)com

We're using the parenthesis bit above to try to mislead those nasty spambots and so minimize junk mail ... and it does seem to be working.  You probably already know to substitute @ for ("at" sign) and . for (dot).

Email at this Web Site:  Alternatively, you can leave email for us here, addressed to:

 john@svdaydreamer.com

Sailmail:  We do have a Sailmail account that'll allow us email communication via HF radio so we can stay in contact even while on the hook or underway.  We don't post this address here as spam  would render it useless due to Sailmail's limitations of very slow speed and limited connect time of 10 minutes per day.   However, we have set up an email forwarding arrangement such that email sent to the web site per the above with the word "sailmail" in the subject line will get forwarded to our Sailmail address.  Once we've received any message, we'll be able to reply and share the Sailmail address with you directly.

If you do try to go this route, I suggest you also send a copy to our regular address.

As an example of how to forward to our Sailmail address, your email addressing should look something like this

From: your address
To: john@svdaydreamer.com
Copy: svdaydreamer("at" sign)gmail(dot)com
Subject: sailmail
Text: your message here ... what's on your mind?
